SPECS & STYLES

Mannington laminate flooring is scratch resistant, easy to maintain, and is 100% made in the United States. Their in-house design team assures that the Restoration collection closely mimics the color, grain, and warmth of real wood, while maintaining exceptional durability.

All styles are protected by Spillshield Plus Waterproof technology, making them a great choice for any room in the house.

Not only is Mannington’s Restoration collection kid- and pet-friendly, but it is also environmentally-friendly. The laminate flooring has been independently tested and certified by FloorScore, and meets strict standards for VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions, thus contributing to the air quality inside your home. Mannington laminate flooring is also produced with over 70% post-industrial recycled materials.

The Restoration Collection includes multiple styles, each available in a variety of colorways. Hillside Hickory features an on-trend wide plank design and Weathered Ridge gives the look of reclaimed wood flooring. The collection also includes traditional styles in Chestnut Hill and a parquet design in Palace Chevron.

Many of the styles are embossed for a realistic texture with up to 20 unique plank visuals per box for a varied look. The majority of planks in the collection are 50 ½” long, 8” wide, and ½” thick.

The collection is available at independent retailers nationwide, as well as select online retailers, including Wayfair.

INSTALLATION

The Restoration Collection is manufactured with a click system of installation. Mannington’s website provides detailed installation instructions, as well as several videos to make the process as easy as possible.

The flooring can be installed above or below grade, in any room, including kitchens and bathrooms.

Make sure the subfloor is clean, dry, and level.

Install Mannington laminate flooring over existing resilient floors, wood flooring, ceramic tile, and concrete. An appropriate underlayment must be used to protect the flooring and provide stability. Always make sure to inspect each plank prior to installation to check for defects.

SIMPLE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Each plank in the Restoration collection features a tongue-and-groove design to lock them together. No glue or nails are needed.

  • To get started, remove the tongue from the first row of planks and place this edge against the wall.
  • For each subsequent row, insert the tongue into the groove of the previously installed row at a slight angle and rotate downwards until the planks lock together.
  • Continue laying the rows from left to right, staggering the end seams and working from several cartons for a more random look.
  • Use spacers to maintain a 5/16” expansion gap along walls and any other fixed items in the room.
  • Once all rows are laid, you can remove the spacers and install the appropriate moldings.
  • When installing in bathrooms, fill all of the expansion gaps with silcone caulking.

Installation of Mannington Restoration laminate can be challenging for the inexperienced DIYer. If you’re not completely confident there’s no harm in getting a quote from a local installer with experience installing Mannington laminate.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

The Restoration Collection of laminate floor is extremely easy to care for and maintain.

Ordinary sweeping with a soft-bristle brush or vacuuming with a hard floor vacuum is usually enough to keep the floor looking great. In the case of a spill, a slightly moist microfiber or terry cloth mop can be used.

As a water-resistant laminate floor Mannington does approve the use of steam mops with its Restoration Collection. Set your steam mop to its laminate floor setting or, if it doesn’t have one, on the lowest heat setting. The company does sell their own water-based floor cleaner spray, Mannington Ultra Clean.

For tougher stains, such as adhesives or paint, rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover can be used as a spot-treatment. As always, doormats and felt furniture pads are recommended to protect the floor.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Here are some of the reviews for Mannington’s Restoration Collection that we received and found online.

We love this flooring!  It looks and feels like real wood and holds up great with dogs. We love the rustic design and texture. David, MI

We had done one room in our home with this same flooring years ago and have been wanting to do more rooms since we love this product so much! We just bought more of the Historic Ash style to complete our dining room and master bedroom. Shenna, CA

This flooring is gorgeous! It reminds me of old barn wood, the colors are beautiful! We actually already had this flooring installed throughout most our home when we built it a couple years ago. Diana, NY

I can attest that this floor has held up beautifully, especially with two young children, and they are so easy to clean as well. We receive compliments all the time with this flooring and most are shocked when we tell them it’s laminate. Great investment! Ray, VT

We used this flooring in our kitchen, family room, and library. It’s awesome. Very sturdy and able to stand up to heavy traffic, absolutely impossible to scratch. It never looks dirty and is easy to maintain. It’s so versatile and looks great with all types of furnishings. Daniel NE

We purchased a large quantity of Mannington laminate several years ago and it was beautiful. Since then we have had little chips appearing near the edges of the boards, some scratches,  and most recently buckling at a particular spot near one couch. Definitely disappointed and getting in touch with them currently. Carol, MT
